How we protect your data
Guard records, client details and incident photos are personal information. Patrolly is built to keep them safe and to show who touched them.
Six protections on every Patrolly
Invite-only logins
There is no public sign-up. Staff are invited by email and set their own password. Nobody, including us, sees it.
A phone code for everyone
Every user adds an authenticator app. A stolen password alone does not get anyone in.
South Africa only
The app only opens from South Africa. Attacks from elsewhere are blocked before they reach it.
Everything is logged
The app records who did what, and when, for every sensitive action.
Each person sees their own area
Roles decide who can see rosters, permits, the control room and reports.
Backed up every day
Data is backed up daily, and older versions of the app can be restored if a change goes wrong.
Built with POPIA in mind
Your company stays the responsible party for the personal information of your guards, staff and clients. Patrolly processes it for you.
We keep access limited to the people you invite, we log what they do, we store only what the app needs, and we can talk to you about a written operator agreement.
Patrolly helps you keep to your duties. It does not replace advice from your own POPIA adviser.
Where the data is kept
Patrolly runs on dedicated servers in Germany (Hetzner), behind Cloudflare. Connections are encrypted. Access to the app is limited to South Africa.
